This
landmark building, rising above Westport’s beautiful harbor,
marks the confluence of the Nocquachoke
and Acoxsett Rivers. The Paquachuck Inn has dominated the
landscape of the village of Westport Point for 170 years, a stately
reminder of those who have made and lost their lives on the water.
The Inn is hand hewn from heavy timbers, built like a ship, pegged,
worn smooth and salted by sand and wind.
Original
whale oil lamps, harpoons and whalebones share space in our lobby
and
intimate B & B.
The Inn is open year round, with facilities
for weddings, receptions, corporate or private meetings and
gatherings. Every room boasts a water view; a few overlook
our antique
conservatory
and its fruit trees.
A patio to the east ushers in the
morning, the marsh, and breakfast- from our railed porch, the
sunset over the West Branch. This
is a very special place, rare and and also very real.
Our private
dock offers access to Westport Harbor. We're
right on some of the best striper and clam fields in the country!
We
are an hour from Boston, half that from Providence. New Bedford
and Fall River
lie to our left and right. Horseneck Beach with miles of dunes,
is a few minutes away from the Inn’s door. You can’t
miss us, the end of the road, Westport Point.
